Happily strumming away since 2018, Low Fell Ukes is a club run by the people, for the people.

About Low Fell Ukes
Founded on the principles that everyone has a say in what we play, we believe in taking ukulele music to the places where it can do the most good. We give back to the community by playing for local care homes, charities and clubs. When the weather’s nice we even like to play outside at local parks and festivals.
That might all sound a bit serious but we’re really just a bunch of local folk who love getting together for a strum and a chat. We’re 60 members strong that includes all types of people from electricians, teachers and ex-forces. What brings us together is a love of good fun and great music.
Low Fell Ukes runs two club sessions, both on Mondays.
Shakey Strummers – Meets at the Shakey, 88 Fife St, Deckham, Gateshead NE8 3RR. 2pm until 3.30pm every Monday. We are a lively friendly group which enjoys all styles of music and plenty of cake.
Low Fell Ukes – Meets at Gateshead Rugby Football Club, Eastwood Gardens, Low Fell, Gateshead. NE95UB. 6.30pm to 9.30pm every Monday. We are a large fun ukulele club playing music from the decades up to the present. We have a break in the middle of the session for folk to retire to the bar and catch up.
We always welcome new members… for more information contact us on lowfellukes@outlook.com or Richard on 07791800324
