Ukes of the North Festival 2025

Saturday 12th July 2025

Out fourth Ukes of the North Festival took place on a glorious Saturday in July. 220 registered at the door and we suspect a fair few folk came in through the back… never mind.

There were 17 performers on the main stage –

Ukaholics from Washington Village

Plus,

Plenty of communal strumming and singing led by the mythical Magic Sofa Band
Open Mic lead by Ian and Duncan
Maureen’s famous Tombola and
Lots of snacks, beer and fun.

We also managed to raise £600 for our charity the year FACT (Facing All Cancers Together)

So all in all another brilliant festival highlighting the amateur ukulele groups and players in the North East.
