Low Fell Ukes

What can you expect when you come along to Low Fell Ukes…. certainly a friendly welcome and a fun night of ukulele playing and singing.

We follow a pretty standard format other than on themed nights or preparing for performances =

  • 6.30pm Notices and News
  • until 7.30pm Ten songs chosen by a member and circulated before the meeting
  • 7.30pm Break in the Bar for folk to catch up and have a drink
  • 8.00pm to 9.00pm –
    • A song / tune from a member or small group
    • Introduce new songs and practice
    • Finish with songs from the songbook chosen for the first half

Shakey Strummers

Shakey Strummers is a smaller, very relax ukulele club which meets every Monday afternoon. We sing songs from our current songbook – see button below for latest book and have written a number of songs within the group.

At half time we stop for coffee and home made cake provided by the venue for a very worthwhile £1.

Shakey Strummers has started to play the occasional performanc which we hope will increase.

Team Uke

Team Uke is a lively group for folk with additional needs and people who are lonely. The group meets at 11am each Wednesday at the New Life Centre Teams. For further information contact lowfellukes@outlook.com
