Lockdown Songs

21st April 2020

Well here we are into our fourth week of lockdown. I must say that the good weather has certainly helped with Angela and I having lunch and coffees out in the garden.

Our Zoom sessions seem to be going down well with twenty four various folk joining in as well as Jamie’s daughters and Pauline’s grand daughter. I know the technology is a bit limited but seeing people faces and swapping the news is really good.

Quiz

Quizzes really seem to be keeping folk interested so I have built on our last one - have a go, particularly at the anagrams. The Big Ukulele Quiz is in the Blog section -

If anyone fancies submitting another round or two, feel free - email it to me and I will add to the quiz.

Lockdown songs

A couple of songs which have come out of the lockdown. All around our area children have been chalking Smile on the pavements and most windows have children’s rainbow pictures. Along with the simple positivity of people like Captain Tom, it inspired me to get away from the gloom and statistics for a while and try to build on the good things that are coming from this terrible time in our history. Have a try at this.

And here’s another from Chris Buckle at Dam Jammers, sung to the tune of Hesitation Blues -

See you all on Thursday. In the meantime…

Be brave

Be safe

Be happy

Be occupied

Be thoughtful

Be you
